Ë®¹ûÅÉ's Bachelor of Arts in Human Problems and Sustainable Solutions is a self-designed major available for students to develop a program of study that is not offered at the university.
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program leading to an Associate in Science degree is a dual enrolled degree program between Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences (RHSHS) and Ë®¹ûÅÉ. In addition to the Associate in Science degree, graduates will receive a Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from RHSHS. Graduates of the DMS Program are eligible to take the national credentialing exams through the American Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) upon completion.
The Medical Imaging (MI) Program leading to an Associate in Science degree is a cooperative degree program between The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences (RH-SHS) and Ë®¹ûÅÉ. Admissions for the program is through the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. In addition to the Associate in Science degree, graduates will receive a Certificate in Radiologic Technology from RH-SHS.
Students in the Healthcare Science Surgical Technology Track will receive a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Science from Ë®¹ûÅÉ and a Certificate in Surgery Technology that allows professional licensure from the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the Surgical Technologist National Certification Exam from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
Are you interested in becoming an individual content creator or digital entrepreneur, or exploring careers in research or analytics? Ë®¹ûÅÉ's Bachelor of Arts in Social Influencing, Communication, and Creative Media combines a strong primer in analytical and production skills with a commitment to service and real-world learning. Ideal for students who are interested in pursuing analytics roles or continuing into graduate education, the major could also launch careers outside of social influence.
The digital revolution has radically changed the way that many humanities scholars conduct research and share work. Digital humanities applies emerging technologies to these explorations, expanding access to and participation in the field.
Ë®¹ûÅÉ's Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Dual Degree prepares students for careers that make a difference. Alvernia's Social Work courses offer a rigorous, caring and inclusive learning community, preparing you for employment or for graduate studies. Its Criminal Justice programs equip students with the knowledge, skills, and real-world insight needed to succeed in today’s evolving justice system, including careers in investigation, legal services, social services, and public safety.

Literature does more than prepare students for careers in a variety of fields; it equips learners with skills that are crucial to success in any endeavor. A traditional liberal arts major, Alvernia's Literature program offers students opportunities for self-knowledge and growth as they explore the ideas of great writers of past and present. Reading those works promotes development of high level communication skills while enhancing depth of knowledge across disciplines. Interpreting and deconstructing ideas helps students to shape their world-views while refining skills in logic, reasoning and conceptual analysis.
