Through a newly established partnership between Alpha Aviation, Reading Regional Airport, Ë®¹ûÅÉ's O'Pake Institute for Economic Development, and other regional workforce development leaders, Berks County is building a local pipeline into commercial drone aviation. Together, we are expanding access to a rapidly growing industry, creating a local pathway into commercial drone aviation for students, career changers, veterans, and entrepreneurs.

The Certificate Program in Community Engagement is an interdisciplinary program designed to increase students’ ability to create positive change in their community and to address serious community issues through the development and implementation of short- and long-term impactful civic projects. Students identify and apply practical considerations that underpin community engagement and voluntary service.
The gerontology certificate of completion helps students meet the rapidly expanding job market in the field of geriatrics. The program is designed for individuals who have never attended college or who have a degree and want to complete this specialization.
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program leading to an Associate in Science degree is a dual enrolled degree program between Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences (RHSHS) and Ë®¹ûÅÉ. In addition to the Associate in Science degree, graduates will receive a Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from RHSHS. Graduates of the DMS Program are eligible to take the national credentialing exams through the American Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) upon completion.
The Medical Imaging (MI) Program leading to an Associate in Science degree is a cooperative degree program between The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences (RH-SHS) and Ë®¹ûÅÉ. Admissions for the program is through the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. In addition to the Associate in Science degree, graduates will receive a Certificate in Radiologic Technology from RH-SHS.
Students in the Healthcare Science Surgical Technology Track will receive a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Science from Ë®¹ûÅÉ and a Certificate in Surgery Technology that allows professional licensure from the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the Surgical Technologist National Certification Exam from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
With over 40 years of history, Ë®¹ûÅÉ’s Addictions and Mental Health Treatment program is one of the oldest and best at the college or university level. Earning an Online Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health Treatment is an excellent transition into a dynamic and growing field with an increasing need for qualified, professional employees.
Are you interested in becoming an individual content creator or digital entrepreneur, or exploring careers in research or analytics? Ë®¹ûÅÉ's Bachelor of Arts in Social Influencing, Communication, and Creative Media combines a strong primer in analytical and production skills with a commitment to service and real-world learning. Ideal for students who are interested in pursuing analytics roles or continuing into graduate education, the major could also launch careers outside of social influence.
