Biography
Abby L. Rigdon, Esq. has served as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at Ë®¹ûÅÉ since 2013, where she teaches Criminal Law, Ethics in Criminal Justice, and Rules of Evidence. She earned her Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law and brings extensive courtroom and legal experience into the classroom.
Professor Rigdon currently serves as a judicial law clerk for the Berks County Court of Common Pleas under the Honorable Judge Thomas G. Parisi. Prior to this role, she worked as a senior public defender and maintained a solo practice focused on criminal defense. As an experienced trial attorney, she has handled a broad spectrum of criminal cases, including serious felony matters and capital (death penalty) litigation.
Her teaching emphasizes the practical application of legal principles within the criminal justice system, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in law, legal services, and law enforcement.
